![]() Hardware was out of warranty but I spun it as a software issue so no charge! Thx in advance for any replies or solutions.įYI - Figured this out with Apple phone support. I'm inclined to delete all 3 of these files, but I think that does the same thing as what I described above, delete all stored data - Overkill There are 2 other larger files, which, from what I read, are "temporary" ones created by SQLLite, but SQLLite won't open them - Cache.db-shm, and Cache.db-wal. I looked at cache.db using SQLLite, but the file is very small and I don't see anything that looks remotely like stored suggestions. I think all the Safari data (for me) is stored at /Users/Mike/Library/Caches/. I believe if I delete all Safari data (though I'm not sure how to do that or whether I want to), that would remove the 5-10 incorrect items in the dropdown, but seems like overkill, as I'll also be deleting 1000s of still useful entries that Safari uses (Although I'm not sure where they'e stored). Searched keychain, first, for website, one correct entry as above, then tried searching for incorrect terms - No Dice Safari, Preferences, Autofill, User Names and Passwords, but there is only one entry for website and it has correct data - No dice Safari, Preferences, Privacy, Manage Website Data., found corresponding website and deleted data - No dice Develop menu, empty, caches, restart Safari - No dice Tried all the permutations I could think of - No Dice Click on entry so it is highlighted - Hit Fn, Shift, Delete - No dice ![]() I've read a few Safari solutions, none of which work for Safari 10 ![]() For IE, used to just be able to use arrow up, down then hit Delete to remove entries as needed.
